Dean McCormick's Dreams May Collide:

Having spent my previous 12 years sitting on the sidelines watching everyone else make music, I got inspired by some old friends. I got back to playing the instruments I grew up spending so much time learning, bought some recording equipment and went at it.

Little by little over the course of about two years the songs I was writing started sounding better, then one day my long-time bass teacher and friend Stephen Palmer suggested putting together an album. Dreams May Collide "Open the Door" is the end result. 10 songs fitting the Indie rock genre. My musical influences are broad ranging from the hillbilly croonings of Hank Williams to the punk rock pop masterpieces of the Buzzcocks to the mind expanding psychedelia of The Velvet Underground.

Most of the songs on Open The Door started out as a a bass line and a click track. From there layers of guitar, synthesizer, keyboards, drums and finally vocals were added. When everthing was done the tracks were bounced and delivered to Race Production Recordings where Stephen Palmer mixed and mastered the project.

I hope you enjoy my music
